People of the greater God.

Some people are just great.Great not because of their achievements, not because of their qualifications, honour, wealth and family background. They are simply great because they haven’t taken anything from this world nor have they anything to give to this world. These are people of the greater God.They are so because they don’t need God like each one of us.They pray just twice a day as a family practice. They neither ask anything from God nor do they offer anything to god. They believe in their theory of life that whatever is destined will happen and even god cannot stop it.
They have perfect health because these are the people who don’t indulge in any wrongdoing vis a vis their lifestyle and habits and therefore they don’t have to pray to God to take care of their health.Just in case they fall sick some home made medicine of the ayurveda type brings them back on feet.
They are happy with what they earn and all their life earnings have been thru honest and legal means by sheer hard word and dedication. They don’t believe in taking loans therefore the question of repaying debt to someone doesn’t arise. They are strictly against taking any favour or help from anyone therefore the question of returning the favour doesn’t arise. Therefore, here too they don’t need God to help them in returning the favour or the debt.
They have a small family with one or two children and believe you in me their children too grow up in a well disciplined manner, get educated well, become successful professionally and settle down well in life. Therefore the question of offering pujas, vraths, shanti and all for the sake of family doesn’t arise at all.
Everyone respects them in the society. No one has any grudge nor any affinity towards them. They go in their own way without troubling or disturbing others. They have a soft and low voice therefore the question of talking loudly and wildly doesn’t arise at all.
All in all these great people keep the almighty at arms length and maybe the almighty too is happy staying away from them because he knows that these are great people who don’t need Gods. One fine day when time will come for such people to leave this world I am sure they will reach Vaikunt and in all fairness I am sure the almighty will be privileged to receive these people at the gate.

Cinema experience,than and now.

During the most part of 19th century there were no multiplexes. The so called cinema theatres were more of hall and less of theatre. The theatre used to have dress circle, balcony and in some theatre boxes(for lovers). When one entered the theatre there used to be a typical smell of pan, beedi, bit of urine and wet mud.People had only three choices as I’ve said earlier but there was a fourth choice.Right in front. All the brats, whistling experts, used to occupy that position with pride.I remember seating there once in Cine Metropole during movie ‘Coolie’ of BigB which became famous for the kick which AB received from Puneet Essar. It was house full with no ticket available.
Those whose pockets were bit heavy preferred the balcony where the seats were just that little bit better but the so called a.c used to work rarely with full efficiency and used to be complemented by those huge Almonard wall fans.About the boxes less said the better. Most of the chairs had arms which were more often than not full of bugs.
Another important feature of movie going of that time was the availability of popcorn and vanilla ice cream. There used to be just this two with no other choices. The moment one entered the hall the torch boy used to show each one of us the seat with his torch light. The sound system was plain loud with no effects whatsoever.Even than it was a pleasurable experience as that was the only source of entertainment available to us.
Now we have the multiplexes. The entire décor make you feel as if you haven’t come for a movie but in a mall or in a hotel. The smell seems to have changed. You now have some kind of perfume smell,a bit of coffee aroma, pop corn flavour is in the air, beautiful boy and girls are moving here and there instead of ghatis of the old era. There is absolutely no trace of urine smell.Once you enter the hall you get a feeling that you’ve entered a cold chamber where the temp is so cool that it might even stifle your muscles.Instead of cigar and pan inside the hall we now have people talking on cell phones on and off and this is the new sign of general public disturbance.
The sound system is a high tech Dolby system where once gets a feeling that people are screaming at your ears from all possible directions. Some sounds are so deep and intense that it hits your ear drums and heart. The seating arrangement is so plush and cushiony that you feel you are seating in a Jet.The toilets are neat and clean unlike the old theatre ones where many a time one had to wait to reach home to relieve oneself.
All in all a change has happened for the better no doubt but one thing that has happened which isn’t being accepted by all and sundry which is the quality of the movies produced today.I am not talking about the technical aspect but the genre like the story, acting, music, dialogues and finer aspect of film making have been sacrificed at the altar of mass commercialisation. Therefore many still remember the old movies despite watching them in sub standard conditions than today’s movies watched in super comfort conditions.

Modi Govt Image.

Of late every news channel has been airing an opinion that intolerance is at all time high in India today than anytime before.Incidents like Dadri,Meat Ban,killing and attack on writers have been put forward as examples of the same.Accordingly public have aired their opinion depending on which side of the fence one is.Now slowly what has come acrossed is a new development. Those who are politically neutral and who are respected and recognised as leading figures of India have aired their opinion.Eminent industrialists like Narayan Murthy,Kiran Mazumdar Shaw,RBI Governor Raghuram  Rajan,Music meastro Zubin Mehta have come out openly against this pattern and have requested Govt politely to please do something about this. They all feel that this is harming India's image abroad and since PM Modi is doing his best to attract foreign investment, there is every possibility that foreigh investors will feel hesitant to invest in such a horrendous climate of intolerance.
Therefore is it time for the Govt to take suitable steps to arrest such incidents.Definitely.Govt need not be ashamed to acknowledge such happenings rather than living in a state of denial. After all which Govt wants its image to be tarnished.Modi was known to emply experts in creating his image and of his party during elections 2014.Now he can employ the same people to study the image of his Govt and do changes accordingly.Taking the opinion of his bias supporters, admirers and fellow partymen will not give him an objective neutral opinon on his Govt. That will be an attempt in indugling in false praise. Its always prudent to understand an outside opinion about his Govt rather than an inside one.It will be wrong on the part of the Govt to assume that main stream media has always been anti Modi and therefore need not be taken seriously. That's a silly assupmtion because the same media were with Modi during election and supported him whole heartedly.
NDA Govt's second year is in progress and its an year of acceleration like middle overs of ODI cricket. Therefore all strategies, steps, plans need to be created and implemented in this year and next year. After that it will be too late to indulge in coarse correction.Govt and BJP as party needs to create a communication line so that there exists an uniformity in thinking of the Govt and party. At present Govt seems to preach one thing while party preaches opposite. This makes a mockery of the whole Govt-party apparatus. There is a general talk in Delhi circles that after Bihar elections NDA govt will have a major overhaul vis a vis ministries and party functionaries.Till than let us wait and watch.

NJAC-COLLEGIUM TUSSLE

NJAC-Collegium tussle is now out in the open. Its out in public domain. Both sides through experts and lawyers are defending their positions depending on which side they are. Both sides have lawyers and judicial experts of great reputation and eminence. Both sided are basically engaged in identifying the flaws of the opposite sides and therefore defending the need for change.Identifying the positive expect of both the system is just a passing comment not of any immense importance.
What is largely missing the picture is that the discussion per se is restricted purely between NJAC and Collegium. Its been either this or that. How about a third alternative.Has anyone taken pain in arriving at a third consensus.Since both systems have some positive aspects in it how about getting them together and arriving at a third option. The hitch is the law minister.Forget him.How about creating a Commission of only four people.Chief Justice of SC,Senior most Judge,PM and LoP.Let there be a majority of either 4-0 or 3-1 to pass an appointment.Let veto be only with Chief Justice if the decision is 3-1 with CJ dissenting. In this way a middle path could be worked out.
It doesn't make sense to allow judges to judge themselves as well as select themselves. This is against common sense.Judiciary cannot look upon legislature as an incompetent brat who doesn't have the knowledge neccessary to select people of judicial eminence and prominence. In democracy legislature and executive have as much equal importance as judiciary and therefore it does make sense that all three arms of the constitution work together for the welfare of not just the nation but also of individual institutions. At the end of the day public in general will always give more respect to the judges and judiciary than the politicians and therefore the importance and prominence of judiciary will always remain intact irrespective of how the judges have been selected.Cleansing of the system is undertaken purely because the best among the good end up occupying coveted positions followed by those who are good.We cannot afford to place only the good people there and leave out the best because they could not be suitably considered for appointment.

MEDIA INTOLERANCE

Every Indian killed, irresepctive of his religion and who killed whom,is a dastardly act which needs to be condemned by every right thinking India.A murder is a murder no matter what is the motive.Every killing is a law and order problem and needs to be tackled accordingly. The motive can than be used to arrive at a conclusion and case solving.Unforunately of late it has been observed that the motive has been given more importance than the actual killing particularly when people of a particular religion are being attacked and killed.MSM(Main Stream Media) is waiting in anticipation for such news and pounce on it the moment such news come to its knowledge.Northern India and Delhi in particular is quite easily accessible to media channels and therefore it becomes quite easy for them to give full and blown out coverage to such incidents.Any simmilar event happeneing in South or North East is mostly neglected due to distance and lack of connectivity.
As most of the news channels are partners of Foreign media houses such incidents get world wide attention and defame India unnecesarily. An impression is thereby created that India is full of such incidents and that such incidents happen quite regularly and that central Govt is not in a position to stop it and even in some cases supports it.This approach of MSM is not only damaging the name of central govt but also that of the nation for which the media is largely responsible. That's because every such case is than forgotten by the media once the investigation has started and reached to conclusion. If the media feels investigation isn't happening as per their liking, they begin their own pararell studio investigation.Every high profile or so called communal murder is being investigated first by the media and than by the police.
Therefore in conclusion we can say that gone are the days when media was suppose to give us 'News' but is instead giving us its 'Views' which we don't need.Instead we are wise enough to draw our own inference and understand news objectively.
